Works awesome with no problems! Nice sensor to have! – Works with ALL THREE of the SkyLink alarms I have been forced to buy before I found one I THOUGHT worked (false alarms every day!!!). But this motion sensor works very well and I recommend you buy a couple extras if you can. I put one in my garage, one in my kitchen, one in my living room, and one in my hallway. This is one way to avoid buying so many expensive door/window triggers. SkyLink offers a gray one for more money but the cheaper white one works just fine, even with other SkyLink alarms.

great product – I love the skylink security system. I installed about a year ago. had only two false alarms,not bad. very good motion sensors and self monitoring. dont have to pay 30 buck a month for some company to call you and tell you the alarm is going off. this system will call you and you can have it call several people. These are good detectors,, the direct sun will give you a false alarm , so don’t point it in the sun, also good idea to put in a bird house of some type ( the factory sells them) if you can’t hide it as some one took one of mine when i was gone , ( i think they thought it to be a trail cam.) So far, so good! – After 4 weeks of use during perfect summer weather this Wireless Motion Alert Kit is working fine. It will get a more challenging test during Ohio’s winter storms to come. It’s easy to install, has a covered button to prevent accidental calls, holds up to nine numbers and allows you to set how long it rings at each number. The only problem we have had is the instructions say the pendant has a 100 foot range, but in my grandmother’s home it does not cover an area nearly that large. Something to think about – We got this for security – and use it every so often. It works as promised, and makes a moderately loud noise if the door is moved/opened enough to trigger the mechanism. I am not sure about how much it adds to our home’s security, as the same action on the door will trigger the alarm that is wired to alert the alarm company and sets off a very loud alarm in the house itself. This may be best for someone who does not have a centrally monitored alarm. One other advantage is that it strengthens the door by making it very difficult to open from outside. So, a burglar would have to basically break the door open – hopefully making it one step more difficult to get it.

US Patrol alarm security bar - Solid product. My only complaint is the alarm is not loud enough. The barking dog is not realistic at all. Good for an apartment but it’s a little difficult to hear in a two story house. Also drains the battery really fast (less than two weeks).
Does make me more secure at night knowing that it’s up against the front door.

It does exactly what it says which is pretty good for the price. It is not superb, sharp detailed video and the low light reception is not great, but it does not claim otherwise. For the price, an excellent bargain and can be used exactly as advertised. The entire surveillance package with this set up can fit in a small old cigar box.

Motion detection with pre-record (pre-time stamps motion event) works great. You’ll really like the function which allows you to fast forward at 32x, and the unit slows right down to 1x right before a car or person walks on my property, then resumes FF when it leaves the frame. You can spend 20 minutes after work, and see everybody or vehicle that has entered your property for the past 9 hours when you’ve been at work.

You can access the unit from any computer in your house. The software included allows access to the DVR menu functions as well. Streaming video over LAN has been glitch free and solid full motion.

The menu is a little hard to understand, and you have to experiment with certain menu functions to discover what they actually do.(This is obviously a translation issue.) Once you have figured out what does what, the menu settings are easy to use, and well implemented.

The compression used by the unit does degrade the resolution a bit, when streaming or recording. Not by much though. The streaming video has very little degradation, and the recorded video is a little worse, with some slight pixel on the “Best” setting. This is a compromise between picture quality and disk space. Large disk drives are relatively cheap anyway. This may become an issue if you are trying to identify a face in the distance.

All features work, as advertised, and are well implemented. For the price, this DVR is an absolute BARGAIN! Highly recommend this unit.
